How Can I Serve?

There are plenty of ways to serve here at Messiah Lutheran Church, we encourage our congregants to be involved in worship!

Get connected with the Lay Ministry or Parish Fellowship boards to get involved.

Contemporary Worship Team

Our worship team welcomes teens and adults to join us on Sundays at

11 am for Contemporary Worship! We run over the songs on Saturday mornings at 9 am. Our focus is on fellowship and praising the Lord.

Sanctuary Choir

The choir rehearses on Thursday nights from 7:15pm to 8:45pm, beginning in late August and continuing through May, We sing most Sunday mornings from September through May, at either the 8:00am or 9:30am morning service as well as other special events. Come on Thursdays for an evening of music, fellowship and sometimes sweet treats!

Children's Choir

Messiah's Youth Choir holds rehearsal the third Sunday of every month, upstairs, during Sunday School. We then perform the fourth Sunday of every month while wearing our Youth Choir shirts!

Communion

if you would like to help serve communion on Sunday mornings then this is the team for you! Click here to sign up!

Scripture Reader

Our scripture readings on Sunday mornings are almost always read by a member of the congregation. If you feel willing to or led to read God's word with the church, click here to sign up.

Usher

If you would like to be the friendly face that welcomes people in to God's house, provide bulletins, and help guide people for communion, click here to get involved!

Counting Team

On Sundays, we have a team that is available to count the offerings from each service. If you want to be involved but need an easy sitting job, click here to get involved!

Greeters

Can you say, "Good Morning!"? Then you are hired! We want to invite people in with a warm, friendly, and loving welcome that reflects God's welcome into His kingdom. Click here to get involved!

Altar Guild

Altar guild members prepare the communion elements prior to each Sunday we have communion (8:00 every Sunday, the other services 1st and 3rd). The head of altar guild also orders wafers and wine as needed. They also care for and clean the communion service items. We invite you to get in touch by clicking here!

Coffee Team

"Dude, where's the coffee?" You may say walking into church one day. You can be the hero of the morning and get involved in our coffee team! Click here to be our coffee hero...

Safety Security Team

Safety and Security team are responsible for the safe operation of Messiah Lutheran Church. There are 7 members that work behind the scenes. You may see some of us with a walk-in talkie in hand during and between services. We welcome any volunteers that may have an interest. Feel free to ask any questions you may have.
