Online giving is an easy way to give to MLC, and there are three ways to do it:
1) Follow this link:

2) Download the Church Center app on your phone or tablet and choose to use either your debit/credit card or automatic bank withdrawal.

3) Text your dollar amount (with a dollar sign in front of it) to 84321.

Please make your reservation for what service you plan to attend at  The 8:00 and 9:30 services will be streamed live as well, and there will be overflow in the narthex for those services if we surpass the 70 person threshold. Other non-religious or non-educational building usage will be encouraged to follow both state and church-posted protocols. If you’d like a standing reservation at one of the services, call the office or email Lloyd at and we will put you on the standing reservation list.

Messiah uses a prayer chain made up of people willing to pray for our members, community and nation in times of crisis. The prayers are confidential and anonymous as much as possible. You can make a difference through the gift of your prayers. Contact Cindi Souza at or Pastor Dave at to become a partner.

The spring semester of Financial Peace University is coming soon. It’s a free budgeting class for Joliet area residents. Dates and times are forthcoming. Also, there will be a $100 emergency fund starter to the first 10 people who complete our online Financial Peace University (based on need).

Because of Covid-19, Daybreak Shelter is now collecting and delivering them instead of packaging them. We are still accepting donations of these items during normal office hours, Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm. We need donations of individually wrapped snacks, instant oatmeal, hot chocolate packets, cereal boxes (small) and fruit.

Have you ever pictured yourself as the person bringing the message on Sunday morning?  We would like to provide some training for anyone feeling called to explore what is involved in preaching law and gospel.  Contact Pr. Kurt if you are interested. We will begin at the end of January.

Quilters are in need of any size sheets. Please be sure they are without rips, tears or stains. There is a basket in the narthex to put them. Thank you.

We’ll gather together occasionally to allow for some fun and social interaction. We’ll be sure to meet in a large area and practice social distancing. It’s for Preschool - 6th grade. You don’t need to have joined Awana to participate this year! Make sure to join Remind to get the latest Awana updates. To join, simply text @awanamlc to 81010 or go to Get links to Awana videos at

We’re back in the building for Sunday school for middle and high school students (7th-12th grade) every Sunday. We’re doing it both in-person and on Zoom. We meet upstairs in the Awana area. Contact Brian at for a link to Zoom Sunday school.

MFUGE MISSION TRIP (July 12th-17th)
We will be taking a trip to Tennessee to do M-Fuge which stands for Mission Fuge. M-fuge is a ministry that takes student ministries from all over the country and brings them into one area to serve. During this week students will be put in ministry situations that can range from yard work, day care, teaching, to recreation, buidling, and more, all in a local community. The goal of this is to open students’ eyes to the need that they have in their hometown. This is accompanied with awesome worship nights where the students have a big group worship along with church group time, and small group time. This is for students going into 9th grade in August 2021 to graduating 12th graders. Talk to Brian about signing up for this ministry opportunity at

Insight and Messiah Kids SS will be postponed until some time in 2021.

We will be constantly evaluating the situation in our area and pray to restart as soon as the timing is right. In the meantime, we encourage you to worship as a family - we always have something for the kids to keep them busy during the service.
