LIL LOVES MINISTRY
Lil Loves Ministry is a ministry at Messiah, and its aim is to come alongside underserved parents and babies in the Tri-county area. The store, located in the Gathering House, will be available to attend on an appointment basis and there will also be distribution events. Appointments can be made at mlcjoliet.org/lil-loves-ministry.
Lil Loves needs donations of diapers, wipes, and other baby and family items to build up stock in the store. If you'd like to donate, please place your items in the bin marked “Lil Loves & Micro Pantry” in the narthex.
Our next Give Away Day is October 23 from 9:30-12:30pm. Stop by and get some free baby care items and meet some nice people.
Online giving is an easy way to give to MLC, and there are three ways to do it:
1) Go to this link: churchcenter.com/giving
2) Download the Church Center app on your phone or tablet.
3) Text your dollar amount (with a dollar sign in front of it) to 84321.
Office hours are Monday-Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, and Saturday by appointment.
The Youth Choir will practice on Wednesday nights at 6:00 – 6:30 pm (right before AWANA and Head 2 Heart). Your child ages Kindergarten – 8th grade can worship the Lord through song with their friends. Our performances will usually happen once a month at the 9:30 and ll:00 Sunday services. Did you have a great time of fellowship in September? Would you like more opportunities? We need your help. Unfortunately, we are unable to have an October event. But our prayer is that God will provide a few wise individuals to help us plan programing for November as well as a few helpful hands to place table settings and decorate. Contact Pastor Dave Stier if you feel lead to help.

The Memory Bears Life Group meets together once a month to make teddy bears out of clothing from people who have passed away to comfort the grieving. We also make and sell bears once a year to raise money for supplies and children’s charities. With the lost time with Covid and orders having not slowed down, we really could use your help. We meet the Fourth Tuesday of each month from 9:00 am to Noon. Joining a Life Group like this is a great way to meet new people and help with an important mission. Contact Cindi Souza at 815 931-8478 for more information.
We would love some new faces serving in lay ministry. We will be having an orientation for ushers, greeters, readers, & communion volunteers -with dessert - Wednesday evening, October 27th. 6:30-8:00. Come early for dinner if you can.
