What if the most important thing this Christmas isn’t something we do, but a question we ask?
Christmas Is The Perfect Time To Invite Someone To Church
Have you noticed that at Christmas time even the most frugal among us will happily give to the Santa ringing his bell at the entrance to the store.
Have you noticed that politics get put aside, family quarrels get a break as families gather to spend Christmas Eve together.
People WILL come to church if someone they know would just ask!
They are hungry not just for the Christmas dinner but for Jesus!
They want to try something new – nothing else has worked so far.
We are desperate to hear good news and share great joy.
In the past year we have had so many tragedies in our country, in our town, in our own lives.
Marriages end, loved ones pass away, and devastating test results come back.
For many, the future seems bleak and hearts are broken.
Often, people who are hurting feel like church isn’t for them. This Christmas, we have the opportunity to invite those who are hurting to the Savior where they can meet the God who knows their greatest fears,
sees their deepest longings, and who sent His Son to save us.
The hope we give away on Christmas is sure to outlast the cookies and the lights on the tree and the 25 toys we purchase for each child.
