Awana Reminder.png

Awana is back in person! Come join us on Wednesday nights for this fun and engaging ministry. Your kids, aged 3 potty trained through 6th grade, will learn Bible verses, play games, learn worship songs, and receive a lesson each week. Awana provides discipleship, relationship, and opportunity for spiritual growth. This year you can even come early for dinner starting at 5:30, as Messiah is providing a free family meal each week!

Awana isn’t just for kids. We have wonderful volunteer opportunities including listening to kids reciting verses, setting up the Awana store, helping shepherd kids on Club Nights, and playing games. You can learn more about Awana by visiting their website Link to AWANA Website here... Corona Virus Update

As you may know the church is not obligated to follow government mandates concerning the Corona virus.  That does not, however, remove our responsibility to do what is best for our families and guests.  Our leadership met and we will continue our policy of encouraging personal responsibility as the novelty and unknowns of the Corona virus fade.  Disease diminishes when individuals monitor their own symptoms and take their own precautions.  What is needed now, and in each flu season, is the freedom and grace to make sacrifices in different ways.

The inherent risk of this and all viruses are everywhere.  No measures we take or enforce can guarantee the protection of those who have a weakened immune system.  The same is true for those who care for loved ones with underlying health risks.

Most of our practices have returned to normal.  The following precautions remain to minimize the risk of exposure.

1)    Individually prepared communion elements are available at the ushers table for use during communion.

2)    An offering can be given in various ways other than by passing the plate.

3)    Hand sanitizer is available throughout our routinely cleaned building.

4)    Online worship is available for those who are at risk, ill or in family quarantine.
